What it is?

It is a competition to stimulate the development of innovative technological solutions that respond to concrete needs of the Justice sector to deliver better services to citizens and businesses.

The aim is to enhance exchange, foster synergies and stimulate creativity in co-innovation processes between the Justice sector and the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship, at the national, European, and international levels, for the purpose of experimentation and testing of ideas.

Who can apply?

Both natural (individuals) and legal persons may apply. Natural persons must be at least 18 years old and profit-making legal persons (enterprises) must have been established for less than 10 years and employ fewer than 250 people.

1st Edition of the Justice Challenge

The Challenge
Develop a conceptual search tool, which contains images and words, and which enables to:

  • Identify the concept related to other images and words that integrate a trademark;
  • Detect, in a simple and intuitive way, trademarks that have applied for register or are registered in Portugal and that contain figurative or verbal components conceptually equal or very similar to those submitted to search, thus making it easier to assess the likelihood of confusion;
  • Make available all the results (images and text) on the same screen and in a single step.
